St Leonard's Heritage Fest showcased the rich diversity of cultures in their school
Families contributed to an array of fantastic ideas to make this event truly memorable. From showcasing fascinating artefacts and offering dance classes to sampling delicious foods and enjoying face painting of flags, henna tattoos, and much more, there was something for everyone to enjoy. A playlist of songs from various countries added to the festive atmosphere.
On arrival, each child was issued a 'passport' with the flags of the 22 countries and cultures represented. The children visited each table to find the corresponding flag and had their passport stamped. Additionally, there was an optional quiz on the back, where children could answer questions by visiting different stalls. For example, "What is the national animal of India?" the children then had to discover a picture of a tiger at the Indian table.
Thank you to everyone who made this uplifting event a reality.
