St Christopher's Multi Academy Trust is structured in accordance with its Memorandum and Articles of Association.
It aims to provide governance that is conducive to effective working, ensuring that checks and balances are in place whilst avoiding duplication and delivering effective two-way communication.
The founding Members appoint the Trustees with the Diocesan Board of Education maintaining a majority of appointments. When appointing new Trustees, the Board gives consideration to the skills and experience mix of existing Trustees in order to ensure that the Board has the necessary skills to contribute fully to the Trusts development.
Each school within St Christopher's Multi Academy Trust has its own local governing body to whom delegated authority is clearly defined via a scheme of governance (below).
In simple terms, the governance structure delegates the 'business' matters of running a school to the Board of Trustees and Trust senior management team, freeing up school leaders to focus on teaching, learning and school improvement.
