Meet Our Team

Chris is an experienced and successful school leader with over 25 years experience in primary education.

As a teacher, Chris has worked as a lead teacher for English, a Maths Specialist Teacher and a Building Learning Power trainer. As a school leader he has led two small rural schools in Gloucestershire, a federation in Devon and a large primary and nursery in Plymouth.  In each of these settings, he worked with and through others to improve provision, outcomes and inspection results.

Each of these experiences have allowed him to develop his understanding, expertise and passion for curriculum, teaching and learning and leadership development in a wide range of contexts.  He has always been deeply interested in the power of IT to improve teaching and provision for all, the importance of oracy to close gaps and, over the last few years, the use of coaching as being pivotal in improving teaching and learning.

He has been working for St Christopher’s Trust since 2015 and, in that time has seen it grow into an organisation that helps all their members to flourish. Chris says of his new role, "I am looking forward to doing my part as we continue to grow and develop."
